Overlooking the seafront stands the 16th-century watchtower, built by the Spanish under Charles V to defend the coast from Saracen raids.

A few hundred metres further south lie the Scogli Piatti — smooth sea-carved rock formations, not the easiest to reach, but capable of offering one of the most secluded and intimate swimming experiences in the entire area.
